ADMISSION CRITERIA:

In order to apply for education in TU-Varna, the minimum examination grades from specific subjects, taught at school SHOULD NOT be less than 62% out of the maximum value of the assessment system in the respective country.

The applicants who do not have knowledge of the language in which the course will be performed must complete a preparatory course. It includes two modules: Language training (650 class periods) and Specialized training (350 class periods).
If the applicant is fluent in the language in which the training will be performed, he/she will take the language examinations (examination in the language in which the training will be performed – level B2) without having passed the training. The exam is spoken and written and it shall sit for an examination before to a committee.

Only persons who have completed the Language training module or who have successfully passed the language training examination may be enrolled in the Specialized Training module.
Persons who have successfully completed the preparatory course are issued a Certificate of Language and Specialized Training, which shall allow them to continue their studies at Bachelor’s Degree.

 

APPLICATION DOCUMENTS:

2. Secondary School Diploma and Diploma Supplement – notary certified copy;
*In case there is no grading scale attached to the diploma, candidates have to present an official document with the grading system description.
3. An official document issued by an accredited body, certifying the applicant’s right to pursue their studies at Higher Education Institutions in the country where secondary education was obtained (Download form: here);
4. Medical Reference;
*The document should be issued no earlier than one month prior to submitting the application documents to TU-Varna.
5. Copy of Passport / ID card;
7. Six passport photos (dimensions: 4.5/3.5 cm).

*Documents specified in points 2, 3 and 4 must be:
• Certified in accordance with the international requirements:
        – for countries that have a mutual legal assistance agreement with Bulgaria concerning certification of documents, the agreement requirements shall apply;
         – for member countries under the Hague Convention, documents are certified with Apostille stamps;
         – for all other countries, documents must be certified by the Ministry of Education (and/or Ministry of Healthcare), Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the applicant’s country of residence and by the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the respected country;
• Translated in Bulgarian language with legalized translation in Bulgaria. It is necessary to send the translated documents for certification of the translator’s signature to the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Deadline for the submission of documents: by 15th of September

The applicants who have successfully passed the language exam at TU-Varna can apply by 15th of January.

 

ADMISSION PROCESS:

1/ The applicants must send the scanned copies of their documents for a prior examination at the following email address: fs_centre@tu-varna.bg
2/ Upon approval of the listed documents, the applicants must send the whole set of documents via Post Office at the following address:

IEP Dep. forwards the documents of the approved applicants to the Ministry of Education and Science, according to Art. 95, para. 8 of Higher Education Act in order to be issued a Visa for Long-Stay (type D).
After receiving the Certificate from the Ministry of Education and Science, the applicants must submit their documents to the Embassy / Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria in order to receive a Long-Stay Visa (type D).
After obtaining the Visa, the applicants can be enrolled at the University.

 

ENROLLMENT DOCUMENTS:

3. Document for paid tuition fee.

*For specialty Agronomy” only, grades from the successfully passed exam are multiplied by a coefficient of 3.

The applicants who would like to take part in the selection process, subsidized from Bulgarian Government, must complete the application procedure until the end of June.

The applicants who have successfully passed the language exam at TU-Varna can apply by 15th of March.

 

ADMISSION PROCESS:

2/ Upon approval of the listed documents, the applicants must pay a fee in the amount of BGN 35 into the Bank Account of Regional Administration of Education – Varna for issuing a Certificate for Recognition of Secondary School Diploma from schools of different countries:
